Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department (Hong Kong EDP)
Hong Kong EDP had been monitoring volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations at several sites across Hong Kong since 2015 using automated gas chromatograph analyzer systems, and wanted external review and validation of the network and data to aid in assessing instrument operation and data quality. Sonoma Technology reviewed the current status of the network and data and provided a discussion of network objectives, the species to measure, the locations at which to measure, and data quality considerations. Sonoma Technology provided a data validation tool built on R-Shiny and conducted training to Hong Kong EDP staff on best practices for analyzing and visualizing VOC data.
