Geographic Information System (GIS) Services

Geographic information system (GIS) technology has become an integral component of environmental management solutions. STI specializes in using GIS technology to develop improved methodologies for spatially distributing emissions, studying spatial relationships between emissions sources and population groups, and developing geo-databases to store and display geographic and tabular data. Our application development includes design and implementation of custom GIS applications and interfaces to display and analyze data. Our analysts and programmers have extensive experience using and customizing GIS software and work with a staff of scientists who perform high-level technical research, data analysis, and air quality modeling.

STI offers the following GIS services

STI is an authorized Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI®) Business Partner in the Consultant program. ESRI is the leading developer of GIS and mapping software technology. STI staff have extensive experience using and customizing ESRI’s GIS software products including ArcView® GIS, ArcGIS®, ArcIMS®, and ArcPad®. ESRI trademarks are used herein by license from ESRI.
