Emissions Studies

Emission inventories are the starting point for developing air quality control strategies. STI data analysts specialize in improving the quality and detail of emission inventory data and transferring knowledge and data to our clients. STI analysts have prepared hundreds of emission inventories for use in air quality modeling and data analysis. We use state-of-the-art emissions modeling systems to prepare base-case and control strategy emission inventories that exceed U.S. EPA guidance for model inventory preparation. STI data analysts have extensive experience in adjusting base-year emission inventories for specific modeling-episode conditions, projecting future-year emissions, and accounting for new controls. We have developed techniques to use ambient air quality data to evaluate emission inventories and have applied these techniques throughout the United States.
