Analysis of Spatial and Temporal Patterns of Air Quality Data

Statistical analyses of the spatial and temporal variations of ambient concentrations can provide insights into the processes influencing air quality in a region. STI analysts are experts in the interpretation of spatial and temporal concentration patterns with respect to the roles of atmospheric chemistry, meteorological transport, and the influences of emission control programs. To describe and display the data, we retrieve data, review the data for validity and completeness, define the objectives of the analyses, and apply several techniques and approaches in order to evaluate consistency among results.
