Routine Air Quality and Meteorological Monitoring
STI scientists have extensive experience designing, managing, and operating air quality and surface meteorological monitoring sites and networks throughout the United States and abroad. We help government and industry clients meet their regulatory monitoring and quality assurance requirements. We have experience with a wide range of samplers and monitors for PM and speciated PM components, criteria gaseous pollutants, ozone and PM precursors, visibility, and several specialty pollutants. We have managed and performed data validation of air quality and meteorological data sets and have delivered high quality data at high data recovery rates. STI staff members have written Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Monitoring Plans (MPs) to meet client and EPA requirements.
STI offers a variety of specific services to accomplish these tasks. We perform air quality and meteorological measurements at existing and new surface monitoring sites and temporary or mobile platforms. Our services include identifying site locations; preparing, installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining field equipment; and reviewing and auditing operational procedures and collected data.
